it’s always a little surreal when a new collection goes from drawings in my notebook to real life pieces to treasure on my shelves. sending these out into the internet today and feeling accomplished now that this summer collection is complete.

unfortunately patio weather is over, but this was reaaaaaally nice while it lasted. :’)

turning my living room into a photo studio on a wednesday afternoon.

an evening storm and a treat.

every time i get to the photo taking part of the process, i’m exhausted. BUT it feels good to have another collection of work going out into the world again. this iteration of me feels calm but chaotic, cozy and solid, silly and functional, and it’s nice to see the ideas i drew months ago come to life.

my ideal saturday morning moment :’)

vacation’s over, and it’s back to the glazing table! just one more load to get in before the summer shop update.

i brought home spices from my trip to jamaica that remind me of being in my grandma’s kitchen as a child - nutmeg and grinder rolling around the slim draw next to the stove ready for grandma daslin to use on our afternoon oatmeal while we watch bob ross with her in the living room.

dad had expired film in his office from 2014, so i popped it in my new to me film camera and everything came back blue and lovely :’)

kiln unload was so blue and made me feel anything but.

for neil on his birthday.

a friday evening. broccoli in the oven chicken on the stove, bok choy on the counter, sylvan through the speakers, sunlight from the window - dinner’s ready, babe.

the foreseeable future

it’s crazy that we’ve been coming here with her since she was three or four years old and now she’s grown, selling candles she made at a small pop-up with me on a saturday morning. like sarah said, we all grew up at buttermilk.
to be an aunt to two sweet, silly gals is truly one of the biggest gifts of my life, and to get to watch them grow and cheer them on in the things they love is another big gift - sharing my world with them is also on the list. so we got a box of treats, sold our goods, and went home feeling sweaty but grateful.

jasmine covered tree shot on my first roll of film in ten years - the whole roll did not disappoint, neither does the smell of jasmine on an evening stroll in the spring

nothing quite like opening up the kiln to find that everything survived.

the bright pink against the rich green caught my eye through the window early friday morning, only to later find a sparrow building its nest in the pot that holds this fresh bloom.

sunday afternoon well spent

went to quicksand and got transported to the coast of france on a saturday afternoon
