ceramic mugs for deli desires - product shoot

at the start of the year one of my favorite restaurants in orlando, deli desires, messaged me about making some wholesale mugs for them. i have only been making ceramics for maybe six months now, so i was scared and shocked when they asked me to make these for them. they so kindly trusted my creative judgement and let me choose the style and only requested of rough sizing of them - so i really got to play!!

i drew some initial sketches and got to work almost immeadiately. the forms were exactly what i wanted and the glaze ideas came as I was glazing them, haha. they are a quirky little bunch and with not having much experience with clay yet, it’s not to have a set of work that a few months ago i didn’t think was possible.

and now my little babies on are on their retail shelves looking cute! i am so proud of myself for making these from ball to mug in just a month. seeing them all together makes me happy because of how nicely they flow together! i had a little glamour shoot with them before turning them in and love the soft light and mustard in these images. i kept the setup pretty simple so the focus could be on all of the details and texture on the mugs.

if you happen to get you please tag @itswonky in your pics so i can see how you use them!
