deli desires themed mugs - product shoot

i’ve been making ceramics for about a year now, which feels like NOTHING and FOREVER all at once. deli desires is local deli here in orlando that has been fueling the city for a couple of years now. i crave the latke with bacon pretty much everyday, so of course i squealed when they asked me to make some mugs for them! working with them has been such a great process. they were my first and only wholesale order and they gave me so much freedom to create this special batch of mugs for their retail shelves! this is the second batch i’ve made for them and after having free reign in the first round it was nice to focus on their colors for this round!

i truly put my whole self into these pieces, which is pretty hard not to do in this craft and its hard to believe that a month a go these were just balls of gray clay!! this process from start to finish is exhausting but SO rewarding once they are in my hands fully finished. i’m so excited to share these with the people of homecity and can’t wait to see them filled with coffee!!

i slid my computer over and setup this mini studio near my window, on top of my desk. it’s honestly amazing what you can do with just a little space and a backdrop!

i am really please with the colors and the fun lines and angles in these images. it seems really special to be able to utilize both of my creative outlets in one moment. if you’re a lover of mugs, go get you one from the deli before they are gone and don’t forget to tag @itswonky in your pics, so i can see my kiddos! :)
